TNS Neuro Quiz is an engaging quiz competition designed to expose bright young minds, the future leaders of our country, to the field of Neuroscience. The quizzes promote active learning by necessitating the active recall and application of information, enhancing comprehension and critical thinking skills. Successful completion of quizzes fosters a sense of accomplishment, boosting confidence and motivation. Moreover, the inclusion of scenario-based questions encourages the practical application of theoretical knowledge, further enhancing students' ability to apply neuroscience concepts in real-world situations.
The event begins with engaging quizzing rounds, leading to a sponsored trip for the top 6 teams for the National Finals which would be held at Amari Hua Hin Resort, Hua Hin, THAILAND.

March 1-20, 2024
Registrations
Only two teams per school will register. Team comprises of 3 students plus one (1) adult coach.

March 22, 2024

Announcement of eligible teams and Program detail

The eligible team will be announced, and the unique registration ID for the online examination, as well as the program guidance details, will be sent to your email

March 30, 2024, 13:30-14:00

Online Elimination round I

Teams will have 15 minutes to solve 30 multiple-choice questions. Each correct option earns 1 mark. The top 10 teams, based on their scores and completion time, will progress to Elimination Round II.

April 20, 2024, 13:30-14:00

Online Elimination round II (Semi-Finals)

Teams' abilities in content knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving, speed, collaboration, and engagement will be evaluated through Kahoot. The top 6 teams, determined by their scores and completion time, will advance to the National Finals. “Six finalists that will be announced for joining the National Competition on-site at Hauhin, must include at least two participants per team.”

April 23, 2024

Announcement of the Top 6 Finalists

The top 6 teams advancing to the final round must confirm their participation by the deadline (TBA) to receive vouchers covering one-day registration and two hotel rooms for one night's stay. These vouchers are for their attendance at the academic conference on May 8th, 2567, at Amari Hua Hin Resort, Hua Hin, THAILAND.

Awards, Gifts and Prizes

  1.  All participants will receive Certificates of Participation.
  2. The top 10 teams advancing to Elimination Round II will receive Certificates of Runner-Up Finalist along with TNS Neuro-Quiz Bags.
  3. The top 6 teams advancing to the final round who confirm their participation by the deadline (TBA) will receive Certificates of Finalist and vouchers covering one-day registration and two hotel rooms for one night's stay. These vouchers are for their attendance at the academic conference on May 8th, 2567, at Amari Hua Hin Resort, Hua Hin, THAILAND.
  4. The winning team of TNS Neuro-Quiz 2024 will be awarded the TNS Neuro-Quiz Award Trophy, a cash prize of 30,000 Baht, Champion Award Certificates, and additional gifts from sponsors.

Eligible Criteria

- All public, private, and parochial high schools in Thailand are eligible to participate in the competition. Homeschooled teams that are officially approved by their school district are also eligible to participate; students must be at a level equivalent to grade 10-12. Participating schools form teams based on their own criteria and selection process. It is strongly recommended that teams invite students of all gender identities.
- Each team must be supervised by one (1) adult coach. Parents of students may serve as coaches, with the school’s approval.
- Each team must include three (3) primary team members.
- Participating students must be currently enrolled in the school they represent, in grades 10-12. Participating schools may register a maximum of two (2) teams.

Rules and Guidelines of Quiz (Round I)

1. Only the same team members as per the registration must participate.
2. The online examination will take place online using the Zoom application; please ensure it is installed. Additionally, the test will utilize using the AutoProctor system.
3. Click "Start" to begin the examination.
4. You must share the entire screen with the AutoProctor system.
5. Ensure that the microphone and camera are allowed to be open before the exam.
6. Please fill in all the details before starting the quiz, especially the unique registration ID. Make sure you enter the same details that you provided during registration.
7. During the exam, an AI system will monitor for any instances of dishonesty. Do not open or switch to another tab/window during the quiz.
8. The time for the quiz will start only you click "Start"
9. Click "Submit" in the Google Form first, and then click "After submitting the test" to complete the online examination.

‘Rules of Quiz (Round I)

1. There are 30 Multiple Choice Questions to be solved in 15 minutes.
2. Each student will score 1 Mark for every correct option.
3. There is no negative marking. Please attempt all questions.
4. You must manage the time for the quiz effectively.
5. The format, rounds, scoring and all rules for the semi-finals and national finals will be conveyed by the Quizmaster on the day of the event.
